The Phantasmagorical Think Tank

In Fall of 2018, my new friend and future project collaborator Scott asked if I would like to start a podcast with him. It was not his first attempt, but it was mine. I agreed, and we set up a time to use the Pomona College KSPC recording studio for recording our podcast. This was my first introduction to professional recording, audio editing, podcast scripting, and project publication.

Over the course of 30 episodes and 2 years, we explored a wide range of philosophical topics, creative writing assignments, and scientific phenomena. This fun passion project went through a number of structural iterations before being put on indefinite hiatus in the winter of 2020 when Scott said “I’ve talked about everything I want to say for now.”

Attached below are two of my favorite episodes. The first is a creative writing project we did with some of our friends at Pomona, and the other is an introduction to a terrifying thought experiment about the future of AI. While listening, you might learn new things, change some of your beliefs, or find some entertaining stories.
